Insight222 Global Executive Retreat 2024: A Premier Event for Senior HR and People Analytics Leaders
We are in an era where the intersection of data and people is more important than ever for delivering business value. As such, our Insight222 Global Executive Retreat (GER, Retreat) is a key event for senior people analytics leaders.
This event, available to our Insight222 People Analytics Program® clients, offers a blend of strategic insight, peer-to-peer networking, and executive-level development. The primary goal of this annual event – now in its seventh edition – helps senior HR leaders in the people analytics field develop as executives.
The Evolution of the Global Executive Retreat
The Global Executive Retreat has been the “blue riband” event at Insight222 since 2018. It evolved from the desire to “Put People Analytics at the Centre of Business”. At the heart of this mission is the people analytics leader. They need to influence, strategise, and deliver more value each year to their (ever increasing list of) stakeholders.
But who helps the people analytics leader themselves develop?
As early as 2016 the concept of the Global Executive Retreat was created. The idea was to help the people analytics leader -- in their unique role -- develop and learn from some of the best experts in the industry.
The first Retreat was in 2018. It has developed into a space where these leaders – often now very senior executives in large companies, with global remits – can learn amongst peers, knowing that the space is free from colleagues, distractions, vendors, and conference “hype”.
Think, Reflect and Plan
The GER offers a comprehensive experience to help senior people analytics leaders “Think, Reflect and Plan” their year ahead. It provides them with current insights and connections needed to lead and compete. It delivers:
Strategic Insight: The Retreat focuses on the most important strategic issues of the day, with some of the world’s leading influencers and speakers involved.
Exceptional Speakers: Each GER has one or more “Thinkers50” speaker and others that are top tier business speakers. This enables participants to gain access to some of the world’s foremost influencers in their field.
Peer Learning: With only one senior leader from each company in attendance, the GER provides an opportunity for executive peer-to-peer learning outside of their own company environment.
Retreat Venue: The GER is always delivered in a “retreat-style” venue. Away from big cities and free from vendors and distractions, each venue is chosen to provide participants the space to “Think, Reflect and Plan”.
Practical Application: Each Retreat only delivers a small number of deep discussions in workshop-style activities. The aim is to provide time to think about each topic, reflect on what this means in their day-to-day role and then plan steps to become more successful when they “return to the office”.
Where is the Retreat in 2024
This year, the Global Executive Retreat will be held from September 24-26, 2024, at Duin & Kruidberg, a venue just outside Amsterdam. This historic property is Amsterdam's wonderful country retreat, offering a serene and luxurious setting perfect for reflection and strategic planning. Insight222 will have exclusive use of this venue for the three days of the Retreat.
What Awaits Attendees in 2024?
This year's Retreat has a theme that resonates deeply with today's business environment: "The Changing Role of the People Analytics Executive."

Kevin Friesen and Dr. Neora Myrow, Duarte®: The Duarte DataStory® is considered one of the world’s premier executive storytelling workshops for influencing top executives. Their session is designed to equip attendees with new skills and frameworks to elevate their storytelling skills.
Erin Meyer, Professor of Management Practice in Organisational Behaviour, INSEAD: Erin will offer her expertise in leading global business cultural complexities. Her session will provide attendees with strategies to enhance cross-cultural collaboration, in global environments.
